About the Role
Ability to use and operate all transportation vehicles.
Deliver prepared meals to Project youth participants at various Ready4Life Project sites daily.
Knowledge of transportation routes in the City of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Employees must exercise considerable tact and judgement in working with youth and in effecting solutions to complex personnel and family problems that may involve federal, state, or local law enforcement officials.
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, such as weekends, holidays, day or night, and including split shifts as required and/or specified by immediate supervisor.
Ability to listen empathetically to Project participants, to analyze and establish priorities for needs and problems and to deliver or refer proper assistance.
Ability to speak distinctly with a pleasant voice and to express oneself with confidence, patience, and concern.
Ability to work harmoniously with and gain the cooperation of other employees, counterparts in public and private service delivers agencies and in city, parish, and state government and community volunteer groups.
Ability to absorb and utilize new information and techniques.
Attend monthly staff meetings.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma Credential
3 to 5 Years' work experience as a driver for a business, social or community- based or faith-based organization. Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience to meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Compensation: $15 per hour/20 hours per week
Requirements
The Transportation Coordinator/Van Driver shall assist the Project Director in the day-to-day Project operations by providing transportation services for Project/Project participants. He/She shall prepare a weekly pick-up and drop-off schedule to ensure that Project participants attend specified Project trainings and events in a timely manner and receive Project services. He/She shall also help set-up and arrange Project areas; assist with handling out and collecting training materials, assist Project instructors and trainers during Project training sessions and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
