About the Role
Coordinate and schedule all instructional and training events and meetings to be held at the principle RRM operational site.
Use and operate all office equipment and personal computers.
Prepare documents and reports and file/store appropriately.
Greet clients and visitors at front desk and direct to appropriate staff.
Answer telephone, emails, voicemails, etc, and channel to appropriate staff.
Possess filing skills, public relation skills and interviewing techniques.
Know the functions and physical organization of city and parish departments and applicable community, state, and federal resource agencies.
Exercise considerable tact and judgment in working with youth and in effecting solutions to complex personnel and family problems that may involve federal, state, or local law enforcement officials.
Work flexible hours, such as weekends, holidays, day or night, and including split shifts as required and/or specified by immediate supervisor.
Listen empathetically to Project participants to analyze and establish priorities for needs and problems and to deliver or refer proper assistance.
Speak distinctly with pleasant voice and to express oneself with confidence, patience, and concern.
Work harmoniously with and gain the cooperation of other employees, counterparts in public and private services delivery agencies and in city, parish, state, and federal government and community volunteer groups.
Absorb and utilize new information and techniques.
Attend all staff meetings called by the Project Director.
Attend weekly and monthly staff meetings, monthly Group Mentoring Sessions, monthly P.E.A.C.E meetings, and monthly Community Violence Prevention Strategy Forums.
Assist in the preparation of staff monthly desk audits.
Prepare written monthly and quarterly reports of all work performed.
Operate company project management and operations softwares and technical systems with ease and willingness to learn.
Requirements
The Executive Assistant shall assist in the day-to-day office operation of the Ready4Life Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Project. She shall also arrange and coordinate meetings with community leaders and government officials; coordinate and confirm travel arrangements, accompany and assist the Project Director during specified local, state, or national meetings, forums, conferences, or workshops, assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Project reports and other correspondence and perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, social work, accounting, finance, or any related field.
3 to 5 years work experience as an Administrative and/or Executive Assistant in a public/private agency, foundation, financial institution, non-profit organization, social services, or faith-based organization.
Minimum: Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience to meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Compensation: $25 per hour/20 hours per week
