About the Role
Teach basic math and test-taking to prepare Project participants to successfully pass the tests of General Education Development (HiSET) and receive a Credential.
Help open the doors to higher education, better job opportunities, and increased standards of living.
Conduct monthly Best Practices for Social Skills Training and Skill-based Interventions during the monthly Group Training Sessions for Project participants.
Guide Project youth in conducting Peer Training for at-risk youth at a Community Service Project Site.
Conduct pre-tests and test-taking to prepare Project participants to successfully pass the tests of Social/Life Skills.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree and current valid Louisiana Teaching Credential
Must possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License at time of appointment
3 to 5 Years as a teacher in Elementary, High school, or College level.
Requirements
The Education/Social Skills Trainer shall provide literacy, education, skill-based, relationship building, leadership development and service-learning opportunities for youth Project participants and develop a strategy to provide appropriate educational opportunities in partnership with local educational institutions.
